Why DLL for Rapid-Q? DLL should be a common library and could be interfaced with any executables no matter which language they are programmed in. Isn't it?
I believe most DLLs are written in C/C++. If a programmer masters C/C++, he will stick in it and doesn't care VB or RQ any more. However, Rapid-Q is capable to utilize most DLLs even not "written for" RQ.

Hi Guidance!

No! I meant. Hasn`t anyone ever learnt c/c++
and then written a DLL for RapidQ. I.e a ListView
library or Text-To-Speech DLL.

Also. I think I saw somewhere you (guidance) can
write in c++  ......Is this correct? If so. Have you written
any DLL`s for RapidQ?

john

Nice to see you, John!

I didn't write DLL before yet. Seems nothing actually demands me that. I do am using c++ for my real projects though.

I feel, at least Win2k, has text-to-speech engine (dll) built-in? Check this VB example:

Hi Guidance.

That text-to-speech code crashes and does
not work on w2k properly. It crashes
on american L&H engines:

error 430 - class doesn`t support Automation/Interface.

on win98 it does not work at all.

Yeah, I recall there's a Chinese-English dictionary with pronunciation installed in that PC. I saw above VB code works fine most probably due to a text-to-speech engine comes with that dictionary.
