Message1. Determine directory of source
#12851

If I have a program in "dir1", then create a shortcut in "dir2", setting the shortcut target to "dir1/program", then the function directory() returns "dir2", the location of where it's running from.  This is GOOD.  It allows me to have a common source program, and run it from various directories, and thereby create unique ini files, simply by creating short cuts.

Never satisfied, I would now like to create a common ini file too, which I'd like to create in the same directory as the source file.

Therefore, my question is, is there a way to determine the location of the source program ?  Remember, it's being run by way of a shortcut in another directory.

Of course, the fastest way to jog one's memory is to post a question. <sigh>

Found it,   Parse Source

Had a dickens of a time finding it the doc however.

Anyway, this board needed some activity ...
