I've been told that threads and event handlers cant be combined in any easy way, and i cant find any documentation about the subject. but in event.cpp line 825 it says (wxWidgets version 2.4.2): "When using GUI threads, a non main threads can send an event and process it itself" if this is true, why isn't documentet and how do i combine eventhandlers and threads?

Threads cannot process events... That's the main idea... It will be solved in 3.0, so I am told... but I don't think it will have an easy solution.
PostEvent from a thread, it gets captured by the main thread and send those back to your thread in some way... That's how you could possibly achieve this
