why wont the following code work:

wxStreamBuffer *buff = new wxStreamBuffer(wxStreamBuffer::write);
wxString temp("test");
buff->Write(temp.c_str, temp.Length());

when i test the length of buff (Tell()) it says its 0 bytes.
this works when the buffer is connected to a stream.

the reason for why im doing this is that i want to send this buffer to my buffer that is connected to a stream.
