1. makefiles with VC++ 6.0 compiler

Hi,

I'm new to wxWidgets.
I'm having problems creating makefiles.
I want to compile some new sample files (only .cpp and .h files).I've done researh on how to do this but I just can't get it right.
My questions:
Where do I write the makefiles.
Can this be done automatically by just adjusting all the settings in VC++ project settings.
Plz someone help me and give a thorough explaination.

I'm using Windows XP, VC++ compiler.
