Message1. dial-up control

Hi,

I've used Rapid-Q to build an application to download
large amounts of scientific data from the internet.
   Unfortunately, I use a 56k dial-up connection,
subsequently, I experience ISP cut-offs during long
download periods.
I'm somewhat certain I can detect these cut-offs but to
resume I have to restart my ISP dial-up software and
click an "OK" button.
Is there a way to manually perform the dial-up, or
otherwise by-pass the dialog that requires my presence?

                                              Thanks,
                                               julian

Hi again,

I searched the Yahoo site and came up with:
"InetIsOffline.bas" and "Internet Connection.bas" at:
           http://g.yi.org/_scripts/file.php?f=3126&r=2330
and am going to explore these.

                                                    Thanks,
                                                      julian
