I am very new in wxWindows and Dev-Cpp. I use Dev-Cpp 2.4.9.8 and wxWindows 2.4.2. I heve installed imagelib-2.DevPack and wx_windows-2.4.2.DevPack. basic.cpp - this is the name of my application.
I found strdup function only in wx_cw_cm.h file, which is "only for builds with Metrowerks CodeWarrior"
I have also installed MinGW in c:binMinGW msys in c:binmsys wxWinwdos-2.4.2 in c:binwxWindows

Be sure that you use the correct defines for your project, otherwise this will lead to freaky error messages, because build in types will be typedef'ed and gcc doesn't think this is funny :)
