Hello,

I am very new in wxWindows and Dev-Cpp. I use Dev-Cpp 2.4.9.8 and wxWindows 2.4.2. I heve installed imagelib-2.DevPack and wx_windows-2.4.2.DevPack. Using Dev-Cpp I can create new wxWindows Project, but when I try compile this project I get message:

from c:/bin/Dev-Cpp/include/wx/wx.h

`strdup' undeclared (first use this

basic.cpp - this is the name of my application.

I found strdup function only in wx_cw_cm.h file, which is "only for builds with Metrowerks CodeWarrior"

I have also installed
MinGW in c:binMinGW
msys in c:binmsys
wxWinwdos-2.4.2 in c:binwxWindows

and of course Dev-Cpp in c:binDev-Cpp

Please help, what do I wrog?

Hi!
Maybe try compiling the sources for wxWindows yourself. Check here for a little tut I wrote a while ago:
http://upcase.malteser-gl.de

Be sure that you use the correct defines for your project, otherwise this will lead to freaky error messages, because build in types will be typedef'ed and gcc doesn't think this is funny :)
