1. Porting MFC to Linux w/ wxWidget

Hi,

I am trying to port an MFC code to a Linux system. MFC has the very useful bool ReadString(String& ) fct out of the CFile class which is exactly what I need. The wxFile has Read which is not similar and I'm not sure how to use it...anyone has an idea???

MFC is calling File.ReadString(csTxt);
and i need to have one line of a text read and put in the csTxt string.

Hi!
wxFile and wxFFile don't offer something similar. But check wxTextFile for another optional way to do it. Use GetFirstLine() or GetLine().

Forgot: Look at wxTextInputStream for another way :)
